88/D

 The 88D has been in production for nearly seven decades and was one of the first test kilns on the market. With an 8” x 8” x 9”t interior firing chamber, it is the perfect size for multiple ceramic glaze and luster test tiles. A test kiln is very helpful when trying to determine maximum temperature required, length of firing, and any other programming details while trying to determine the most efficient firing schedule to be run later on a larger scale or in a larger kiln.

       This Cone 10 rated model is constructed with a separate floor, hinged lid, sturdy and comfortable handles, compact stand, your choice of  programmable digital controller options housed in a well ventilated control box, and high end hardware made in house specifically for this particular model. With a small footprint, a reliable and well designed electrical system, and attention to detail, this is a great addition to any studio or ceramic artist.
